A collection of white men in suits and hats are standing around a railroad track. On the track and in the front of the picture are five Japanese men in work clothes and caps. Some of them hold tools.

The Montana History Portal labels this photograph as, "The Last Spike of the Pacific Coast Extension of the Milwaukee Road, near Garrison, Montana." It should be noted that this was not part of the Great Northern Railway.
