Pacific Hotel: Before and After

Located on the corner of 1st and Riverside, the first image shows the Pacific Hotel upon completion in 1888. At the time, the hotel was one of the grandest hotels built in the area. It was one of the first buildings destroyed by the fire. The second image shows the rubble remains of the hotel against the backdrop of hollowed out skeletal buildings.
